Plumbing Expert Boss Man

“The true measure of a person is how he treats a man that can do nothing for him”

Wayne Bennett.

What makes a great plumber?

Someone that can think laterally. Someone who loves to be challenged and someone that has a lot of self pride, because you stake your reputation on every job, even the little ones.

Why is Plumbing so appealing?

The best thing about Plumbing is the challenge. No two jobs are the same. You can meet some really nice people too. You get to work for customers, see their kids grow up, get married, move out and work for another generation. It’s very humbling to be the one they call on when you know what hits the fan. Personally I love the relationship with apprentices, you can contribute back to the industry and help shape a young guy into a man.

What are your passions away from Plumbing?

That’s easy, my family. We are blessed with  5 kids (yes 5). Music, I have played drums since I was 11. I’m always going to concerts.  I am also a complete gym nut, I love a workout. It’s relaxing. It’s a good legacy left from playing footy.

To borrow the Rove question, who would you turn gay for?

Martina Navratilova.

Who would be your three ideal dinner guests?

Gordon Ramsay, so he could cook, I could also teach him how to swear properly. George Lucas, because I am a massive Star Wars geek. Last but not least Wayne Bennett. I admire his mentoring qualities, he could teach me how to pull my young apprentices into line.

What is your ideal day off?

Lounging around with the kids watching James Bond movies, Adam Sandler movies or Mike Meyers movies. You know, high brow stuff.

What was the last CD, download you purchased?

Slipknot. The Subliminal Messages. I love this band, at first listen it’s very heavy, but I now find it very melodic and layered, even peaceful.
