North Ryde
North Ryde, in Sydney's lower North Shore region, is located approximately 15 klms North West of the CBD in Sydney and forms part of the local government district of the City of Ryde.

North Ryde is a separate suburb to Ryde which historians believe was named after a local business owner. He adapted the name from Ryde on UK's Isle of Wight. The name was first used as the name of the municipality in 1870.
